To the ones who have been in “The Pit:”
Earned understanding because you did not quit.
For each of us will play every position,
Should we open ourselves to this collective mission.
At first, we fall in, often much to our surprise.
Don’t worry, there’s another chapter (the one where you rise).
It can be lonely, dark, and may feel hopeless at times
Wondering when help will relieve you of these pantomimes.
Then one day another Soul is there,
Also down in the pit of despair.
Equally curious and sympathetic of their joining,
“Freedom” you aim to both soon be coining.
Despite mutual and clever efforts to find your ways out,
The walls reveal themselves as unclimbable, even for a duo-scaled route.
And you both sit together, wondering what life will be :/
Til suddenly the gathering increases to three.
In wonderment, you all ponder where you are at.
Such powerful insights gained from the chat!
Like how you all got there & what truly matters most…
Alchemize as promised lessons & pursuits that each of you boast!
And in reflecting, you each uncover your gifts.
Amongst you: a weight bearer, a visionary, and one that shapeshifts :D
The weight bearer has been there longest of all
They offer to serve as a ladder up the wall.
The visionary has looked over every angle and crack
They can see the way out and offer to guide the way back.
The shapeshifter, who held space to express the feelings
Offers to serve as a bridge between the 2 dealings.
And out they climb, now kinder and wiser.
